# Plans and limits

> What each plan includes and what happens when you change plans.

Churning Tracker has three plans: **Free**, **Enthusiast**, and **Whale**. Orders and catalog retailers are unlimited on every plan. The differences are the automations and how much of each you can use. Current prices are on the [pricing page](https://churningtracker.com/pricing).

Your plan shows as a badge at the top of the sidebar. To upgrade, click **Go Pro!** in the sidebar or any **Upgrade** badge. Paid users manage billing from the user menu under **Billing**, which opens the Stripe customer portal. See [Settings](/settings#billing-and-referrals).

A few limits are the same on every plan: up to 15 custom buying groups, 5 attachments per order or bank bonus, 50 line entries per payout, and 100 redemption codes per bulk add.

  On the Free plan, card benefit tracking covers your 5 open cards with the highest annual fees. The other cards still exist; their benefits just don't appear on the To Dos page.

## Changing plans

Upgrading takes effect right away. Nothing is switched back on for you, so if an alert or connection was turned off by an earlier downgrade, enable it again yourself.

Downgrading, or cancelling a paid plan, trims your account down to the new limits:

* **Marketplace groups**: your oldest memberships are kept up to the limit. The rest are removed, along with any listings you had in those groups.
* **Buying group connections**: the newest connections are kept and the rest are disconnected.
* **Alerts** of every kind: the newest active alerts are kept up to the limit and the rest are turned off, not deleted. On Free, every marketplace alert is turned off.
* **Redemption codes**: orders that already hold more codes than the new limit keep them, but can't take more.

Shipment syncing and email automation stop on the Free plan. Existing shipments and orders stay as they are.
