Account owners are the people whose cards and accounts you track. Your own owner is created when you sign up, and you can add more under Cards & Accounts → Account Owners. Every credit card, bank bonus, and point balance belongs to one owner, which is what lets the Chase 5/24 count and the points totals stay separate per person.

The primary owner

One owner is primary. New cards and point balances default to them. To make a different owner primary, edit that owner and tick Primary account owner; the previous primary loses the flag. You can’t untick it on the current primary, and the primary owner can’t be deleted.
Deleting an owner also deletes that owner’s point balances. The delete is blocked while the owner still has credit cards or bank bonuses, so move or delete those first if you mean to keep them.
Owners also appear as filters on the credit cards, bank bonuses, and points tables, and as a column in CSV exports. Retailer logins are a separate thing; see Retailers.
