Redemption codes are the gift card numbers, PINs, vouchers, and credits you end up holding. Churning Tracker stores them encrypted, links them to the order they came from, and lets you find one by pasting the full code. They live under Cards & Accounts → Redemption Codes and on each order.
Codes come in four types: gift card, voucher, credit, and other. Vouchers and other codes can also record a purpose, like what the code is good for.
Add codes
Open the form
Click Add redemption code, and stay on the Single tab.
Fill it in
Choose the type, then enter the brand, value, code, and PIN. Under Additional Details you can link the code to an order and add notes.
Switch to Bulk
Click Add redemption code, then the Bulk tab. The type, brand, value, and purpose are shared by every code in the batch.
Paste or scan the codes
Paste two columns from a spreadsheet and the code and PIN rows fill in; a header row named “code” is skipped. Pressing Enter moves to the next row, which suits a barcode scanner. Up to 100 codes per batch.
Save
Click Add Codes. Duplicates within the batch, and codes you already have, are rejected with a count.
Codes can also be added while editing an order, in the order form’s Redemption Codes section. On gift card orders the brand and value come from the line items. Each plan limits how many codes one order can hold; see Plans and limits. Some codes arrive on their own through email automation.
Find and use codes
- Search by order number, brand, or purpose matches partially. Because codes are encrypted, a code only matches when you type it in full.
- Filters: type and tags.
- Copy a code or PIN from its cell. The Copy to clipboard bulk action copies the selected codes as
code,pin lines.
- Link to order from the row menu, or in bulk, attaches unlinked codes to an order.
- Brand, purpose, value, and notes can be edited in the table. Bulk actions can update tags, brand, and value, or delete.
Deleting an order deletes the codes linked to it. Unlink or export codes you want to keep first.
Codes export with the code and PIN decrypted; see CSV exports. There is no code import.
